Brief description
Felt hats have been popular for a very long time. Such a wonderful, soft, thick fabric to keep you warm, but also to look glamorous in. If you're beginning in hat making, then we recommend that you start with a simple style of hat which is created from just one felt ‘cone’ or ‘hood’ (this is the technical term for the loosely hat-shaped felt piece you’ll need). This style is known as a cloche (bell-shaped). To create it you’ll need a wooden hatblock, and we recommend a Multiblock set and Multiblock brim, which, when used together, will enable you to make a surprising number of quite different looking hats. These blocks are great for beginners, as the Multiblock system  can be added to when you are ready to buy new block shapes and extend the range of hat styles you can make.
